What we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to make us stop.
Who we are
NewGenTech builds websites and lead automation for professional services firms. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
You can reach us at hello@newgentech.ai or on +44 7377 271215. If you want to raise something specifically about your data, email that address with 'Data request' in the subject line and it will be routed accordingly.
NEEDS_DETAIL: registered company name, company number, registered office address, and ICO registration number.
What we collect, and when
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for any special category data. There are three ways personal data reaches us.
- When you submit the contact form. Your name, your firm, your email address, your phone number, the area you told us you are interested in, and whatever you wrote in the message field. All of it is optional except your name, email and phone number, which we validate because we cannot respond without them.
- When you use the advisory fee calculator. Your name and email address, plus the figures you entered into the tool so we can send you a meaningful result rather than a generic one.
- When you simply browse. Standard analytics data — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. See the cookies and analytics section below.
Why we are allowed to hold it
For enquiries and calculator submissions, our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted a business asking it to respond, and responding requires keeping your details long enough to do so. You can object to this at any time and we will stop.
For analytics, our basis is your consent where consent is required. We say more about the current state of that below, because we would rather be straight with you about it than quietly imply something tidier than the truth.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not use it to build profiles for third parties.
Who else touches it
We use a small number of service providers to run this site. Each of them processes data on our instructions:
- Vercel — hosts the website and processes server request logs.
- Upstash — provides the database where form submissions are stored.
- GoHighLevel — our CRM. Enquiries are forwarded here so we can actually follow them up.
- Calendly — powers the booking widget. If you book a call, Calendly holds the name, email and any details you give it, under its own privacy notice.
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics, described below.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as the UK addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and analytics — stated plainly
This site loads Google Analytics 4 on the live domain, and GA4 sets cookies. We do not currently show a cookie consent banner before it loads.
We are telling you this rather than burying it because UK law on non-essential cookies expects consent to be obtained first, and we would rather document the gap accurately than describe a consent mechanism that does not exist. It is on our list to fix. In the meantime, if you would prefer not to be measured at all, browser-level tracking protection or Google's own opt-out add-on will keep you out of our analytics entirely, and nothing on this site will work any worse for it.
We do not run advertising pixels or remarketing tags on this site.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and calculator submissions are kept for as long as there is a live prospect of doing business together, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. If a conversation clearly goes nowhere, we do not need your details and you are welcome to ask us to delete them immediately.
Analytics data is retained according to the retention window configured in Google Analytics, which is measured in months rather than years.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, object to us processing it on the basis of legitimate interests, and ask for it in a portable format.
Email hello@newgentech.ai and we will respond within one month. We will not charge you for it and we will not make it difficult.
If you think we have handled your data badly and we have not put it right, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first, but it is your right either way.
Changes to this notice
If we add or remove a service provider, or change what we collect, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We do not backdate revisions.
